In this workshop, you’ll explore the fun and unpredictable world of monoprinting — a printmaking technique where every print is unique. We’ll start by looking at examples of monoprint artists and the different ways to create textures, lines and colours.

You’ll then experiment with warming your plate to make the ink more flexible and wiping away areas of ink to reveal your image. You can try out different tools to create textures and you can even trace directly onto the plate, making this a perfect beginner-friendly workshop. The process is playful and exploratory — full of happy accidents, so no two prints will ever be the same.
